The Land Trust Alliance is an association of more than 1200 land conservation organizations nationwide that work to protect special natural resource and conservation lands. LTA advocates with policy makers to improve land protection funding and the tax code benefits and works to improve the professionalism of land saving organizations. Given the increasingly sophisticated and technical nature of land conservation, the LTA provides state-of-the-art tools, information and training that professional practitioners and volunteers need to effectively save land. Through LTA’s efforts strong nonprofits and legal systems are maintained to protect land in perpetuity. To build support for conservation, the Alliance helps community organizations develop, leverage and coordinate their communication efforts. |
